Şeniz Özbey was born in Gölcük. She graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations. Thanks to her teacher-painter mother she lived in a family setting where visual arts always occupied an important place. She had the opportunity to live in various parts of the world. She spent her childhood in Gölcük, İstanbul, İzmir and Ankara. She lived in Brussels, Riyadh, Geneva, Ottawa, New Delhi and Bombay.
Her photography conversations with her father and her passion for photography, which began with her father’s Minolta, grew even further with workshops and trainings. She gained experience in dark room and studio techniques while living and photographing in different counties.
She won several awards from the competitions around the world and participated in various exhibitions and festivals. Her limited edition prints are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, India, Singapore, UK, Thailand, South Korea and Turkey.
Şeniz Özbey is currently working in her beloved studio in Istanbul. She is specialised in food, product and portrait photography.
